The whole process was started in May 2018, when the largest business group Bingo Group became the majority owner of this extremely important company for the “Srebrenica region”. The strong investment momentum in the development of Ingram became much easier because significant financial resources were invested in order to improve the company’s operations and working conditions. The majority shareholder “Bingo” invested KM 10 million in the construction of the concrete goods factory, which occupies an area of 3,500 m², and the acquisition of an automated line for the production of concrete goods.
“The first investments were in mechanization and crushing plants, which were in a very bad condition, and in 2022, we directed the investments into the construction of a facility for concrete goods, which houses automated machines that produce about 800 to 1000 square meters of various elements, so thus, in one shift today, it produces six times more than it was before,” said Zlatko Djedović, director of Ingram d.d. Srebrenik.
Today, after the “Bingo” investment in “Ingram” d.d. Srebrenik, this company employs more than 180 workers in three organizational units: a limestone mine, a limestone factory and a concrete element factory. The production of stone aggregate in the quarry is about 800,000 tons annually. The trend of continuous investments in the Ingram company will continue in the coming years, and the intention is to improve existing capacities and achieve greater efficiency.
The company “Ingram” d.d. Srebrenik was founded in 1961 as a railway quarry. The first stone exploitation activities at the “Drenik” quarry in Srebrenik began in 1959. At the beginning of its work, “Ingram” d.d. Srebrenik was oriented only to the production of tucans for the construction and maintenance of railway and road infrastructure. After the first decade of operation, the company opened a lime factory and a concrete products factory in the early 1970s.
