Behind this journey lies a complex distribution process, the lifeline of the domestic economy, which will be significantly enhanced in the spring of 2025. That is when the new logistics and distribution center (LDC) in Tuzla is scheduled to open. This significant investment is crucial in improving the company’s logistics capabilities.
More than 42 million KM has been invested in the center, which will span an impressive 42,000 m², making it one of the largest distribution centers in the region.
LDC Tuzla is 50% larger than LDC Sarajevo, and together these two modern centers will form a unified system, allowing Bingo to set new standards in distribution efficiency across Bosnia and Herzegovina. The supply process will be further optimized, benefiting end customers by ensuring an adequate product supply and superior food freshness.
In addition to the standard ambient storage areas, a key feature of this facility is the construction of specialized temperature-controlled chambers for storing fresh fruits and vegetables, other fresh products and deep-frozen goods.
These investments will also benefit agricultural producers, as Bingo is the largest purchaser of domestically produced food in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The space has been efficiently utilized and aligned with the distribution warehouse standards of leading retail chains in Europe and the region. Logistics processes will be managed through internally developed software solutions tailored to the specific needs of storage and transport operations within Bingo’s supply chain, fully compliant with current industry standards.
More than 50 domestic companies participated in the center’s construction, further contributing to the development of the local economy and creating new jobs. Notably, sustainability was a key focus in the construction of this facility. A solar power plant will be installed on the roof, fully covering the center’s electricity needs for most of the year.
This investment not only strengthens Bingo’s market leadership but also contributes to the overall development of the logistics sector in the region.
